We brought our Japanese student (Asako) out to Stanley Park yesterday night to check out the nine o'clock gun, so we were 15 minutes early freezing our asses off to check out this gun...There were several people out there already before us waiting the cannon to blow. So about 2 minutes before the cannon blew there was a HUGE tour bus pull up, as they they were coming out the lights around the cannon to warn people that it is going to blow...so we plugged our ears up ready for the cannon to blow, people from the bus were rushing out the bus cos they didn't want to miss the cannon.

Then you hear the 10 second buzzing warning sound then it stopped...we waited...waited..waited...WTF? That night the cannon was a dud...Somebody must of went to the Santa Clause parade and forgot to put gun power in the cannon. Whay a gyp!!

We also went to check out the Vancouver Santa Clause parade in the morning...Man! It was packed!!! Tons of people with kids and tourists and Forgein students...It was the busiest parade I've seen.

We were standing near the back of the street checking out the parade...There were lots of candies being passed out during the parade for the little kids...Boy did they get a lot of candy...From chocolates to candy canes...the Kids at the back felt ripped off cos most of the ppl didn't pass them to the back. I guess for safety reasons they didn't want to get anyone hurt, or poked ppl in the eyes.

Luckly the day wasn't too bad...just a bit cloudy. Watchin the parade reminded me when I was young, my favorite part of the pardade was always the begining part where they have the Cops on Motorcycles racing around doing tricks...When I saw that I was like...SUGOI!! they still do that kinda stoof...

Come to think of it..I think they were the same cops that were doing it when I was young cos most of them looked kinda old.

Oh yeah. I especially like it when the cops on horses make the equine do different tricks.
